Letting You Go

It hurts like hell to walk away from you
and know you'll be walking off
with somebody else.
You say I just wouldn't let you in and
I've got no one
to blame but myself.
Should've offered you diamonds and gold.
If I'd had the whole world I'd
have sold it.
Now the rest of my life, I'll be letting you go.
I can still see your face in the window.
I can still see you waving
goodbye.
Empty gestures can mean so much
to such an empty guy.
Should've seen the whole thing coming on.
Guess I didn't know what I had
until it was gone.
Now the rest of my life, I'll be letting you go.
There's not much left to say.
Guess I shouldn't have looked away.
'Cause, now the rest of my life
I'll be letting you
go.
